I bought a chrome orange S1 Elise yesterday from southampton, bit of a trek and a gamble too but it was worth the trip. '99 on an "S" one owner, lotus service history and 30,000miles. Big silly grin on face all the way home.
Lotus virgin. Not anymore, i've done it, i've bought one.

Be warned Jamesy, it's very hard getting that Big Silly Grin off your face once it sets inJamesy wrote:I bought a chrome orange S1 Elise yesterday from southampton, bit of a trek and a gamble too but it was worth the trip. congratulations on the perma-grin
* I never thought Chrome Orange on an Elise worked that well even though it looks stunning on an Exige. Each to their own though
unforgiving studio lights brought out the best in our convertibles, from the Jaguars elegance to the 340R's madness

Oi, stop grooming members before they're even members, I might have to invoke the 'Harewood Phrase' if you persist.Moggy wrote:excellent taste, no not the colour* but a true Elise
congratulations on the perma-grin
Congrats Jamesy
If it is still, take a photo of it. If it moves, take a photo of it.
Well done on finding a Elise ASBO (very similar to the Electric Orange on the ST)
Warning be careful with the paint as it is expensive to fix as a special effect colour.
Have fun
