Took the the roof off mine at the weekend too.
Admittedly it looks a bit pants and is verging on sacrilegeous to the weirdy beardies but I really missed the open top feel too.
It might even stop me changing the car this year so another one looking for an s2 soft top here
Perhaps we'll have enough for a group buy ?
You apparently also need the little plastic lug things and a steady hand with a dremel

As most of you know I have done this, (I wouldnt have bought an Exige if I couldnt) so can be offer guidance and support.
Measure ten times, cut once, very steady hand needed and cover over seating area when drilling and dremelling.
You need two plastic inserts, only a couple of quid. (there are two parts to each insert)
Look for an earlier soft top without the extra insulation layer, so as it slots behind the seats easier.

Lads, I believe that Lotus do a specialised little known model called the Elise which, and I might be wrong here, has a soft top already fitted from the factory
As he's not here I'll bubble him, Petes got a roof ready for fitting to his

Picked it up today,
Not had its 1000 mile oil & filter change yet so hard to tell but shows great promise,
Maybe best of both worlds (I hope)
When I was down at Hethel with the Sprint they were telling me that the SC's could run 240bhp without any problems !
