Hi GC

Welcome to NYLOC :wavey

Not up to speed on these 111Rs but Jay at Pure Lotus always gets a good write up and plenty on here seem happy to have bought from the blokes at JCT so if you found what you were looking for with them and mentioned NYLOC I'm sure they'll see you right :)

Is there such a thing as a Lotus NOT to like? :D

But I know what you mean so welcome, happy hunting, and come see us at The Buckles with or without a "Lot Of Trouble Usually Serious" ;)

Well I got my Elie form a private dealer ix year ago, they were not lotus specialit or anything, and it was not in the best condition but it was the right money and had the options I wanted.

Since then I have built it into what it is now (well paid people to do it) Don´t get me wrong the money I paid to buy it took this into account (until I got silly and couldn´t/haven´t stopped:oops )

Good luck :wavey
Cheers

And if you pop along to our next meeting (Tues 25th Aug, the whereabouts are on http://www.nyloc.org) then you'll get to see various cars of that ilk and can usually chat to the owners about what to look for etc. JCT and Pure Lotus usually come along to the meetings too, so you can get an idea on what's what from the sales side.

You'd be made very welcome, just ask :bravo

You'll absolutely love it! If you come along to a meeting and want a ride out in my 111R you'd be more than welcome if you want to get a feel for what it's all about. I'm not NYLOC's best pilot, but always up for taking anyone out. It'll be the best decision you ever make - it's a life-affirming purchase.

Hi - Go to http://www.Elises.co.uk ,click on features then go to buyers guide. All you need to know.
For more info go to http://www.Pistonheads.com and click on forums.Scroll down to Lotus and click on Elise/Exige/Europa/340R. 188,000 posts should keep you occupied.
Best advice is speak to owners and ask questions. Dealers ask for more money but you have comeback. Private sales are cheaper but you could trip up if not well informed. A car with full documented service history is worth more than one without and look out for the expensive C service. - an HPI check is manditory!
Your Choice.
