Hi everyone,
I finally became a very proud owner of a Lotus Elise S1 last year, in Ruby Red.
Really loving the car, I've driven it all through the winter, well with the exception of 2 weeks when I couldnt get it off the drive due to the amount of snow we had on the ground.
I am really looking forward to the spring/summer once more and maybe starting to join in a few ride outs. I'm a bit further north being just outside of Newcastle but you just never know... a few more miles to meet up with other Elises cant be a bad day out.
Anyway just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm new so thought I'd say hello

Welcome Bella. We have a lot of members up there - you're unlikely to be our most Northerly visitor so welcome, hope you pop along to one of the meets.
Winter driving - great isn't it. I think we're doing a valuable public service - brightening up the dullness on our roads

Hi up there.
Good to see you went S1, but be careful in the snow, I found out the hard way

I am getting used to the double takes when people spot me on the A1!
I did a spectacular slide out the estate a couple of weeks ago on the ice, thankfully no harm done.
I've heard of a couple of groups of Elise's out together recently in the area, it would be great to actually meet up with some other owners, I'll make every effort to get to one or two events this year. Any excuse to take a Sunday off household chores & drive the car
Thanks for the welcome guys

sorry to hear that Den, Itake it you were ok and hope the Elise is fixed. Hubby had a few extra kgs in the boot for me during the snow & slushy stuff.Dennis wrote:Hi up there.

Mighty impressive persuading your Hubby to sit in the boot just so you can go for a drive outbella2769 wrote:Hubby had a few extra kgs in the boot for me during the snow & slushy stuff.
