Bit of a cheat really. I was in Hethel. Work took us on a Team Build to Lotus Cars.

By S3 do you mean the current one Lotus call the 2.5 or the S3 showcar?

Great team build - better than some of the stuff I've done over the years, driving treasure hunt was worst in Dublin on the day of the Popes funeral. Who thought that one up - people who drive 35 - 45K miles lets take them away and get them to drive around a city!




Although we did once go round the old AM factory - made Hethel look state of the art :shock

I'm sure they called it the S3. I just thought it was the revised s2 with the 1.6 engine in it.

When launched it was the S2.5 on the Lotus website, they were at pains it wasn't the S3. Of course the public often give cars different nomenclature. Good example was the Ford Cortina, the last of which most people called the MkV but was never given that number by Ford - it was a facelifted MKIV.

Just being pedantic :oldie
