1 We actually have meetings.
2 Just being interested in anything Lotus is a good reason to come to a meet.
As for the comment of post Chapman cars being not true to the marque, you only have to go out in an Elise or Exige to realise your mistake.
Chris, best of luck with your project but facebook is not for me.
Cheers

Get off yer arse and come to the Buckles and actually talk to people.
Its far more social networking than staring at a screen
I see you have posted 1191 times on this forum ! And your telling me to get off my arse and stop staring at a screen ! Get a life.
Trust me the reaction I have got via private email shows I am not alone in my thoughts. Again my intention was not to upset anyone, obviously some people are taking this personal. This will be my last post and visit to the forum as confrontation was not on the agenda.
Wishing the club all the best for the future

No kidding you really must get down to a NYLOC meeting sometime
- a more enthusiastic, friendly and decent bunch of folk you will never meet - many owners venture from far afield to attend and the carpark is a wondrous sight to behold
- just about every road going Lotus model ever produced generally turns up
Many members own both old and new Lotus cars - there is no edge in this club that's why like it and there is always someone to help and give advice
Like all internetty things - posts can often be misinterpreted

I think Chris your devisive proposals only serve to weaken a club. NYLOC does a great job mixing old and new (cars and owners). I for one would be very diappointed just to see the new era stuff, especially as an ex owner of a T/C Europa.
Good luck with your venture though.

I'd love a 60's Elan but can only have one car (not counting my Westfield, would love a Lotus 7 also!)
