Aw naw, was looking forward to seeing another Elan rebuild, as you say back to the drawing board. Will keep my eyes peeled :shock

Old Lotus don't die they get fixed and if it cannot be fixed with a BIG hammer then you have an electrical problem.

Is this of interest, seems a bit expensive to me for what you get :?

Thanks Doug,
Yes I have been looking at this one, it is interesting but too much for what is left of the car and work needed.
Especially then having to find an engine! Wheels look very ropey. Had it had a spyder chassis and suspension I might have been more interested.
I'll keep my eye on what happens to it, and if seller is receptive to coming down quite a bit I'll contact him.
Thanks for looking out for me Doug.
Best wishes
Dave

Thanks again Doug for the heads up.
I've taken the plunge and bought a full spyder zetec elan S4 - unfinished project.
it needs trimming, painting and quite a bit of fettling to get it finished, but it's been very well built up to now.
new body shell and all new suspension, brakes, wheels etc.
I'll post some pics when i can.
Now looking for a hardtop
Best wishes

Ooooo now that sounds like a nice bit of kit. Saw one at Donington a few years ago, done by a firm in Liverpool if I am not mistaken, well the guy I spoke to was a mickey mouser anyway. That car was very nicely turned out in red and white Sprint colours.

:up OOOOOOOOOOOHH
I wish I had seen that for sale, enjoy finishing the build, take your time and get it how you want it first time, as its not a "concourse original build spec" you have a free hand to make it your own. Any colours in mind ??
don't worry.........be HAPPY.
