S2 Elise Sport Racer Red White Stripes Leeds - info??

Hi all

I've a chance to buy an S2 Elise Sport Racer in Red with white stripe. The engine is supercharged, plenty of carbon fibre bits. Looks like it's been tracked quite a bit. Found pics and a vid on Youtube of it in Leeds. Looks a bit rough but could polish up quite nicely.

Reg is S13 TUS Has a NYLOC plaque inside.

Does anyone know anything about this car, history etc??

It was polished up a few years back and came up quite well.

I'm guessing that YASMAR prob won't be in the mood for answering questions about a car right now, then...??

Do you know, was the supercharger an aftermarket fit or on it originally. Brakes are obv not std. What about the g'box and diff?

There's no docs with the car so service history etc is all missing but i may be up for giving it a punt if it's still working and see how it goes! Resale value would prob be pants given the zero history and track day mods..

I seem to recal the S/c what not original but was fitted by lotus sport.

I know yarsmar used pheonix and I got the impression the wanted for nothing hence the big spend on things like the S/C, brakes etc using high quality/proven gear rather than cheaper alternatives just for the look

Well, talk about a small world, turns out he used to live 5 miles from me. Never saw the car on the road though...

Trying to call Phoenix in Accrington now. Used them in the past for my (now sold) S1 Elise.

Dad went to big for it but lanky lad got it.

White exige in car park was there so obviously a mate of his or other lotus people there.

I certainly wouldn't call 5'9'' lanky. Speculators or idiots (depends on your view point) stopped bidding at £9000.00 two people took it to £10800.00

Chap in white Exige was the winner and defo not mates ( as you put it) with anyone there.....He does his own thing!

My dad's fairly small (height wise) so I guess for him everyone's tall.

Would we say final price at £12,744 is a good buy? Car has 70+k miles and some damage here and there, however apparently sounded nice when started and will have some good mods installed.
