The ball section of mine must have worn away slightly and as a result it is vibrating when going over small bumps of rough road surfaces.

I did try using some electrical tape to tighten the fit into the housing but that hasn't really worked well.

Does anyone have one going spare which is in good condition?

If so I wouldn't mind having it to try and replace mine with. Happy to pay if need be. :bravo

They are only off a metro (basic manual one, you should be able to pick up a new one cheap.

I also understand there is a way to tighten them (take the mirror bit off, inside there are 2 springs that you pull off, twist a few turns and put back on)
Cheers

Rear view or door mirrors? To clarify, door mirrors are Metro, not sure about the rear view :?

The Suction cup approach will work for either :lol

I think they're both Metro though!

Sorry should have specified. It's the rear view mirror.

I was looking at that very mirror @Kyle but want to try and keep a few things standard on the car 'including mirror' :lol

I think mine has worn due to wear and tear so perhaps thought someone may have had a newer one going spare.

Seems a lot of people either replace with a smaller mirror or go completely commando :bravo

Ah I thought door mirror.

The review mirror was off a Corsa/Astra on the S1, there is a screw to tighten the hinge at the windscreen end and a small Allen grub screw to tighten it on to the screen mount
Cheers
