Seats
Been looking to get my (S1) seats redone by the factory trim shop, only trouble is not having seats for 6weeks, so has any one got any S2 seats for sale or do the dealers have old spare ones that they can lend (Drivestyle in Harrogate don't have spare ones). Has anyone had this done ? Not realy a problem having no seats at the moment as I broke my collar bone skiing, so still got 4 weeks plus till I can drive.

I've had this done and it took pretty much the exact time they told me - they didn't start them till three days before the end though
can you not just get them sent off asap and do without the car for another 2weeks ??
The seat designs they can do are great

I have some leather samples here from mel broome, I am looking into getting mine done soon too
Both seats, any design you like for £500 all in (total refurb including later S2 foam and leather (not probax))

They were done in ProBax (which is fantastic, Drove 3.5hrs into Germany without so much as a numb bum) and I think the total bill was around £800ish (that was with the gearstick and side bits in leather as well so the price must have gone up). I had to pay for carriage from the dealer to the factory and obviously there is the cost of removing/refitting all the bits from the car if you're not doing it yourself.
The shoulder bits (in the first pic) that you can see under the harnesses are none standard and done just for mine to stop the leather at the shoulder wearing, this was done all in with the price, they are very accomodating (my seats are about 4 seats designs mixed and matched
)
love em

Matt,
Is this arranged with a dealer or direct with Lotus (Mel Broome?)? Where are the designs that you picked from? Is there a catalogue or what?

Paul - Rang Mel Broome and discussed my requirements directly with him - he sent me a catalogue to view some lovely options
but in true lotus style he can't take any detail off you......You book it all through the dealer and they have to send all the details back to him

Thanks Matt. I've mailed Mel to ask for a copy of the re-trim options brochure: I'd be keen to get this done afore we go to LeMans...
I don't suppose you kept the brochure they sent you and you could bring it to t'Buckles tonight?

Mel was quick to respond:
Mel Broome wrote:We can retrim your seats to S2 spec for £253.98 each inc vat or to "Probax" spec for £361.41 each inc vat. Both in full leather.
