I have read all this thread and I must have missed something.

I have been a member of this club for over 10 years and this is the best club I have ever had the pleasure of being part of.

At the meetings if I notice a new member or someone lets on to me then I would gladly welcome you to the club. You obviously were close to hear my stories but am I that loud . You should have said hi or just jumped up and down like some to get attention. the weather wasn't great too so the banter in the car park was far less than a sunny warm evening.............I was in a Porsche T Shirt which always attracts the Pi55 takers but hey ho I can take it but also I was freezing my knackers off

It is true that I do arrange runs out at weekends and you would be always welcome to join us but in order to do this there are 3 requirements
1. you turn up
2. you are happy to discuss cars, the bits that fell off recently, the weather and fish & Chips
3. you take the pi55 when required of others and happy for this in return .

I am sure once you get to know the members you will see that this is the most diverse bunch you will meet but all are sincere in the banter and the events we arrange will make you smile................surely that is why you bought a Lotus

I would add that even after 10 years some still don't know my name and call me Baldy...............why is this

Thanks for the kind reply. My intention was never to ruffle a few feathers but I suppose that's inevitable really when you say about a negative experience of something you all speak highly of. And as such I don't dissagree or challenge whether it's a good club with good people, I merely gave my experience to highlight some potential issues. As responders have said, I may have needed to be more forward and deliberately pushed myself into conversations more or catch someone not talking with others to ask questions.

I was stood with you when talking and watching the white van raising up and down in hydraulics (you mentioned they weren't needed and a fat guy like you could just get in and out a few times).. to which then you'd mentioned your weight loss.

I may make the next meeting if able. Thanks for the contact option for runs out. It may be fun. My neighbour has a Porsche Cayman 3.5 so hopefully going for a run with him soon and his brother in his GT3.

Some of the members have purple knobs and best avoided.
Some wear 'T' shirts produced by three year olds.
Some stand around for years bemoaning their weight loss only to add weight by applying some odd black ink).
Some are "not being fanny' (and trust me they are not).
Some bring a different woman to every meeting.
Some can't find a woman (sorry Rasputin).
Some are just plain boring talking about their Lotus.
Some of them come in Porsches and talk about Lotus.
Some pretend to be journalists (do not go near the one from the Daily Star).
None of the S1 drivers have
RobD is so small you won't notice him anyway.
Those with beards speak a different language and are really from Mars (Venus if they drive a S1).
You will recognise the members from Yorkshire from the chip on their shoulder.
Bald members tend to be the loudest.
Older members tend to sit in the corner. :
Doug is the one with the interpreter.
Dave is the one without the joke book.
Moggy is the one you don't leave your girlfriend/boyfriend with. Jane you definately would.
Some are sarcastic all the time Hogan just some of it.
PT is in fact a geek.
SJW wants your money.
Ishy always has a lot on his plate.
Some organise great events.
Some are accomplished competitors (one definately isn't).
Some are leaders, others just follow.
Some are gregarious, some are reserved.
Some have great cars, some think they have.
Some drive really fast some can drive fast.
Some are close friends, others are not.
Some join in straight away others take their time.
Some are keyboard warriors, others observe.
Bed is somewhere you eat.

I can perhaps see why you may have found saying hello difficult.
Next time 'Just do it'

Haha. I feel I have more of an understanding now of who's who. Just the name badges needed to put this info to correct faces. So which one are you yasmar? or are you just a complete different kettle of fish to the rest?

That's the one. I'm away for the August 2015 meeting but arrange to meet someone interesting (well perhaps difficult) on here to do the intro's

Yasmar has been known to have a deer sticking out of his fins !!!! Anyway just been catching up on forum and this thread has run its course, you've all said your bit but come on guys it's a car club not a playground let it go . If the chap wants to come again he will and if not its his loss ..... Stop defending our club we don't need to ..... And they say women are bitchy ......

They are there to catch the indicators when they fall out
