Fibreglass Repair?

Parked up at my girlfriends aunts house and a neighbour came to the door to say that someone has hit my car... i will put pics up soon, basically they have cracked the rear clam above the wheel arch and then on the strange flat part of the car above the wheel acrch, there is a really deep 2 part scratch there too. Will go take pics now.
Just looking for somewhere to fix it?
Will post better pictures when i find my camera.
I have rang police but they said they wont do any more, they have logged details.
Rang recycling and waste removal companies to report it to them as its clearly a truck of some sort that has hit it, and it looks like the exact same blue that the recycling companies use.

Sorry to see the damage
I think the large crack is from the manufacturing process, in the light you can dectect a slight ripple.
Sorry I cant help anymore.
Best of luck hope someone owns up

Thanks, i will be giving Iguana a call tomorrow, a plumbing type company that use big blue vans as i have just seen one drive past me with a smashed rear tail light and my girlfriend thinks that one may live/pick someone up from a house in the corner which would make sense as its the perfect angle to reverse into my car from.

Given that you have seen an Iguana van in the vicinity with a smashed rear tail light, and have both circumstantial evidence placing Iguana vans in the location and physical evidence in the form of smashed glass and blue paint, I would be going back to the police to ask what can be done.
Even if taking the refractive index of the tail light and doing some comparative paint composition identification is a bit much for the local SOCO's for what is no doubt considered a minor incident surely if you went to Iguana with a local copper in tow who was asking to try and match the broken fragments and do a visual paint match that might galvanise them to come clean if they know they did do it.
Well in an ideal world it would I guess...

Thanks guys, yeah kinda looking for somewhere a little bit more local.
It was one of those skip rat people that hit it, there is a skip in the end of the road and apparently it was one of the trucks that has a look for scrap metal etc- Two women in the corner house saw it and heard the crash but didnt get the plate as they drove off like a shot.

I hate to say this but I do not hold out much hope of getting money out of a skip hire company

Oh i know, i dont have a chance! Its not actually the skip company either, just one of the scruffs that go round looking for scrap.
Got a quote yesterday from a garage that will do a proper repair job- £1200-£1300!
He said its obviously an insurance job but id rather not go through insurance as my excess is £400 anyway plus whatever they will add on to my insurance in the future so going to go see them again to see if they can do it cheaper as it wont be an insurance job.

Just read this Bob. Thats shit luck. As you have found out, your very unlikely to get BiB out for a damage only accident, although they did fail to stop which is obviously an offence. Is there any other evidence to suggest which vehicle did it. Any other door to door enquiries you could make? If these women heard saw it could others have? Is there any CCTV in the area?
TBH you'd be very lucky to get any result anyway. No doubt were talking pikey scum anyway are we?
Isn't there an un-insured loss system in place these days to assist decent law abiding people who get shafted by these scrotes?

The MIB only deal with uninsurd losses and a claim via this woudl efect your NCD een if you were just TPF&T.
