Hello from Sheffield

Thought I'd pop in from the other Lotus forums that I frequent (SELOC, MLOC and NORLOG); I've recently moved to Sheffield so it makes a little sense too.

I have a unique, silver 2003 111S that's my pride and joy which I bought a year ago from JCT600 in Leeds and I've been enjoying it as often as possible since.

Hi Dennis;

It was the show car for the 2002 British Motorshow; it has no paint code, absolutely everything is colour coded (including the windscreen surround), it has S1 Exige seats (I think) in Lotus embossed carbon leather and 135R blue alcantara throughout including the C panel which I've never seen before.

I have some pics of the car at the motoshow and it was showed with colour matched OZ wheels but had standard 111S wheels when I got it; I've swapped those for Exige wheels with A048's now though.

I'll put up some more pics when I get chance but it's all detailed on SELOC:

Hi and welcome... another 111S :up

Is that a standard silver then? I notice the sheet you got from Lotus interestingly says 'chrome'.

All we need now is that tiger-striped S2 to join :D

PS, googled you and I have to tell you... I owned a 100% mint 808 for quite a while c/w the plastic protective sheet... I will always regret selling it. Also, from new: 101, 202, 505, 606, W30, R8 and that's where I stopped and I don't have any of it any longer.

For those who don't know, I'm on about Roland electronic music equipment. :nerd

Hi from just a bit further north near Barnsley. :up

The dustroom, hmmmmmm I was thinking very old lotus covered in dust and not seen much action. Obviously I am totally wide of the mark. ;)

Anyway look forward to seeing a "unique" Elise sometime at the Buckles.

Doug :oldie

Nice bits of kit for sure; I use the D16 plugins now which are amazingly accurate but still just not the same.

The lights on the car are no longer silver of course; I've got new LED lights on the back now as well which look way better than the old ones.

Very nice and as you say unique, do you still have the silver lights?

DO you actually know what colour it is?

No; unfortunately I don't have the silver lights or the OZ wheels; this is how the car was when I bought it:

There is no paint code inside the car; on the certificate Lotus sent me it just states "chrome"; I was told that this colour has been known as "ghost chrome" as well :?

And how it is now:
