Can anyone recommend a decent garage for a geo that doesnt cost an arm and a leg? I used to live down in the North West so used Phoenix Motorsport in Accrington and it was only £60-80. Im in Northallerton now so anywhere reasonably close that knows what they are doing would be good.

Its a VX220 by the way :ymca

Don't forget me. :wavey .

Only thing i can't do is corner weight's. But if your running standard dampers then corner weighting won't apply.

Could also set the geometry up as a lotus if ya fancy.?. :D

Quite like the vx220, is it a turbo or just a 2.2n/a.

Byron.

Hehe- wouldnt go near kwikfit with my Lego brick!
Its the 2.2N/A.
When the geo was last done all shims were removed from the front and greg at Pmhoenix said that to get any more camber the arms would have to be machined. The geo they set up for was to dial out as much understeer as possible (unsure what the numbers were on the hunter).

I have now switched 111r suspension so the geo needs a refresh (its probably long overdue given our shit roads).
Byron where abouts are you and what are your prices?

Isn't the VX heavier than the 111R, so is it wise to run suspension for a lighter car? :|

Hello Dennis, the VX weighs 875kg vs 860 for the 111r (and the 111r actually 916kgs with all options :shock ). So not a big difference.
Its the Turdbo VX which is extra lardy at ~925kgs due to the lump of pig iron in the back.

I was admiring a nice VX Byron was working on on Friday. Very underrated I think.

You could try Simon Roberts at Cornering Force, which is Harrogate just down the road, all they do is handling and already done a load on the VX as that was the testbed for the new adjustable ARB system

cornering force do all the work and revamping of all the dampers and the suspension on the rally cars. if you want a fully custom set up the cornering force are good, but so is are byron,
