is it the latest model and Is this a straight fit on a 'standard' s1?

It's not the latest model, the K6 is the latest ECU. It more or lees the same though.
It would fit staight into an S1, not sure what benefit you would see though.

It is 'standard' meaning not a VVC, it has big valve head, 4-2-1, ITG etc and next step is thinking cams & pullies which is when I would need an emerald
What does it come with and is involved with the fitting?

Sorry the ECU has now been sold.
Its a straight swap for the lotus ECU, I think it also needs to coded to your immobiliser.
It's then a case of loading a map, these are available from Emerald. You would then really need to have it mapped on a rolling road.
