As an ex recent kit car owner for many years and attended the Stoneleigh classic and kit car show held in May every year.

My mate who had the same kit car now owns a vx220 and we thought a joint stand would be good


I have now have spoken to the organizers of Stoneleigh Kit car show, and they will be able to sort a joint Lotus/VX plot/pitch to park the cars on the show ground.

The entry is free if you take your Lotus/VX/ car and the cost of camping on the site for the weekend is £5 per tent which is cheaper than paying £15 per person per day for public access.

It will be a very informal pitch with room to park and display your car. There will also be a camping area on the same plot/pitch set aside for Lotus/VX owners only.

There are toilet, washing and shower blocks at various locations on the show ground, and for those of you who dont or wont want to cook there are plenty of places doing food, plus bars and entertainment at evenings.

It is classed as the biggest classic & kit car show in the world over the bank holiday weekend (4th & 5th May 2014) when thousands of cars and stalls on display.

As this will be a joint gathering of Lotus and VX cars then we should have enough interest to go ahead so please put your name below and also advise if you are camping so I can advise the organizers of the numbers as this will then help on the size of plot/pitch we get.

We have now been allocated space for approx 50 to 60 cars in total as a joint VX/LOTUS Elise pitch, so if anyone is attending one or both days please add your names below.

It would be good if any members has any show flags or banners to bring to the stand, please pm me if you have so I can arrange in getting them erected

Complete KitCar arranges a band and bar on the Sunday night and a good opportunity to get lashed

With reference to the details above reading the joint Lotus/VX220 club stand at the Stoneleigh classic and kit car show in May, I have now got the stand position on the site. It is block 6B.

If anyone else is planning to attend please add your name and what day you are planning to attend. There is parking for about 50 cars booked for the Lotus/VX cars.

Hi Lee,

It's a pity this event clashes with the Donington Historic meeting. I know quite a few of our club members are going to Donington.

However you might get some take up.

This will be the first year I have not parked in the Lotus 7 Club area.

Well then folks just over a week to go, so any more takers? We are on stand 6B and it promises to be a great event.

I am 1 of 2 Elises which will be with the NRC stand, but we'll pop over and spread the joy!

Total numbers,coming if everyone turns up, from seloc,Norlog,loneuk,midland,nyloc,and vx220 is 35 lotus and 16 vx220.

But still more can attend plenty of room.

Dunxs1 planning to come down, not sure which day yet, just watching weather when it gets closer. At one time a friend and myself part built a robin hood kit (not recommended) and later I bought a Dax Rush, I've had the Elise for 12 years now but still like to have a mosey around the kitcar shows. Hopefully I will be able to join you if I can find my way to the correct area.

He's staying at the hotel on site but will park in the Lotus area.

Brilliant guys it's hotting up to have a few cars on the stand, and the weather looks good too......

We are here on the stand 6B turn right at the entrance, folow down and you will see my Elise.
The sun is cracking the pavements
