Well at least the wing mirrors are holding out, though it's probably had several sets of front wings during its life.

The black Dunlop wheels corroded badly. They were the same as on the Europa

The engines were cheaper to tune than ford crossflows for similar power outputs. Avengers and Sunbeams were very competitive in club rallying back in the 80's.

They would win the British Touring Car Championship as well in the hands of Bernard Unett who lived down the road from me when I was a lad.

It couldn't compete with the twin cam Toyota Celica imported by Wyn Percy and the 1600 changed to a 1300 in the late 70s
