Ah darn it! Headed out, got out from Howden ready to go York way via A64 and who did i see. A relative heading the other way to come see me (my 30th birthday today). So had to head to next pull off and head back home. Ah well. I will be there on the 28th hopefully.

It looks better with a full car park

Not sure how busy (or even open?) the place would be on a Monday lunchtime anyway, I've only ever been for NYLOC meetups

If you've not been before it's easy enough to find although bear in mind it's only accessible from the eastbound carriageway of the A64. Coming from York way drive past it, come off at the next junction, over the bridge and back on yourself

There's usually a few folks in across lunchtime, occasional 'farmers' meets too judging by the number of 4x4's in the car park sometimes.
The latest staff seem to be established & making a go of it. I think the brewery run training courses there too.

Haha
May be popping along with my Dad. He's pondering on the fence about the option of joining the Lotus team. Unfortunately he's a bit like I have been for a while now, He contemplates and contemplates but is too cautious with his finances. The way i convinced myself to part was partly because I was turning 30 soon (turned 30 yesterday). And also because for me, it serves two purposes. First one being that it ticks off the bucket list wish i've had for many years. And secondly, to me its a financially viable option. At the very least if i maintain my car as the previous owners have done, then I should recoup similar to what i paid. Who know's, depending on the market that could be potentially more but I doubt significantly less!
Anyway. Hopefully able to make it to Buckles on 28th for a pint and some banter. I may be asking advice on a sticky throttle cable issue i'm currently trying to look into

Ask the right people and you'll have someone delving into your engine bay helping you.
Ask the wrong people and you'll end up with a 2 hour lecture on hydrogen embrittlement in pre-stretched cables.

Yes, assuming the car starts having been sat out in the rain all week

I don't tend to drive the car in the rain so was hoping for an ok evening. Looks like it's going to rain heavy again soon.

I can confirm that the cars don't dissolve in the rain, and there's one in the carpark so far - but might only be me tonight!!
Brightening up at the moment so hopefully that's the last of the rain.
