This post is disgusting and sick, It looks like the other posting which was also degrading (in my opinion) to this club has been removed. Its more than the post that needs to be removed. This post should also be erased as it is available to non members and does not reflect well on the rest of the membership it looks like we tolerate and support this type of posting. Im appalled :coot

I think this is being taken a little out of context. I agree with Danny that anyone using the road should have a test and should have insurance for everyone's safety when out on the road. I am a cyclist and I've seen some near misses before because of negligence of both the biker and drivers.

How come when a car passes a cyclist they must leave them 6ft but when a cyclist passes a car they suddenly only need 6mm. Like it or not many cyclists are plain dangerous.

Nothing wrong with cyclist very law abiding in the majority :lol
BUT
Red light runners
No lights
And could not care less for pedestrians when on foot paths
The main hand signal in Hull from them is usually :fingers but uncrossed
Then they expect respect on the road
Some of the above also goes for car drivers as well

Cyclists are unaccountable for damage they cause and if they do something stupid and you are in the wrong place at the wrong time kiss your NCD and excess goodbye and welcome increased insurance for the next 5 years and loads of hassle with police etc.

Cyclist should be forced to have TP cover and be identifiable ! :judge

Was in Amsterdam couple of weeks ago. No I didn't run any 'red lights'

There is an argument that cycle lanes make cyclists more...unappreciated when on the main carriageway but seeing the systems in AMS and Denmark I think there is a case for it. problem is of course, £££.

We are where we are and best thing IMO is to drive with caution and courtesy when around other road users whether they be bikes, horses or whatever else. Too easy to get into a situation and usually as the 'registered' party, you'll be the one ending up with the grief.

Just ask Ronnie.

Indeed, I alway give them a wide birth as it just isn't worth the hassle of if something goes wrong (I actually saw 2 decent bike riders yesterday on the way to Manchester, riding one behind the other through a village towards mottram moor in front of me, there was a van parked on the rest, the guy at the front checked a couple of times I was holding back and letting them out, then when safe I passed with a wide birth as they gave me a friendly appreciative wave :clap )
