S2 Elise ECU

So this is a long shot being a new member.

I have a 2004 Elise 111s with the 160 ecu. I have an intermittent fault with the engine cutting out and then cranks over but the fuel pump does not prime. It usually re starts after half an hour to an hour. It runs fine normally but obviously I don't have the confidence to go far in it. It's very frustrating.
Chris Foulds at Honley has been investigating but cannot pinpoint the problem as it usually doesn't have the fault when he has the car. So far we have disconnected the immobiliser, new fuel pump, new multi function relay. The next stage is replacement ecu.
Before we do this (this is the long shot bit) does anyone have a 160 ecu either for sale, or if anyone has a 111s could I borrow the ecu to test on my car (send to Chris Foulds so you know I am genuine if you prefer) to rule in or out an ecu fault. Any replies greatly appreciated.

I was an autoelec at rover many moons ago, On the K series there was a common problem where the fuel pump would pack up, It was the earth trigger from the fuel pump relay (MFU) to the ECU, that would die. Only thing is that was the MEMS ECU, as on the S! yours being S2 wont be the MEMS,, But maybe lotus use the similar circuityr inside there ECU. I used to connect up a test light bulb and place it inside the car,,,to the relay earth trigger wire then run the car till it cut out and I`d know for def if its the ECU...

Chris says he has already checked the earth trigger wire. Thanks anyway.
