I collect/restore old BMX's so was wondering if any of you lot have an old bmx bike or bike parts in the shed they've left rusting for years? The older the better.. preferably from the 80-90's nothing newer. Any condition considered.

Its worth asking for nothing :D

Did this old boy hood tale work, If your mag wheel got buckled just put it in the freezer overnight and it will magic itself straight :?: . Cant see it to be honest but that was the rumour when I was a scallywag. Haro what is one of them it was either a morrisons own brand or if you were the rich lad down the road it was a diamond back. :?

I thought that only applied to Skyway Tuff II wheels? Never tried it myself.

I had Z Rims which possibly did work by freezing but you had to replace all the spokes as well. I had a Diamondback ;) £££££

But the Haro was much more expensive.

Ive been relegated to a Brompton which are very bad at tricks. Not as cool as a Haro but they do fold much better.

How cool are they. No trick nuts though and no cables going through the head stem plus not many pads on show.

Hardest trick I ever saw but never did was the cherrypicker, What was yours. :shock

I never rode trick nuts/pegs in the 80's so I dont put them on, The Yellow GT and Orange Skyway has a potts mod through the stems, the others have not due to me having to modify the brakes and I didnt want to alter them.
I could do a cherry picker back in the day, I tried it on a new school bike a few months ago and lets just say if I do the same again i wont be having kids.. EVER.

They are usually in the loft but at the moment due to me boarding the other side of it, they're split between under the stairs/spare room and garage.
Stamps? now there's an idea.
