The homepage of the NYLOC web site has all the details, this being the forum. Scroll down under the main image on the homepage and look for 'How to join' - there's even a link to a map!
Can you practice facing North (magnetic optional), rolling up your left trouser leg, holding an electric iron in your right hand (Morphy Richards irons do not count) and singing the chorus to Queen's We Will Rock You. It won't affect your chances of joining but Dave G has stopped telling jokes so we need a bit of entertainment. Cheers.

Colin,
I think you might be somewhat surprised by the large turn out of Lotus cars and owners at our meetings.
NYLOC meetings and events are just as important as its Internet presence.
We don't "hire" the room, we take it over.
Yes we have extended the borders of North Yorkshire:
It includes the North East beyond Newcastle.
North Yorkshire to the West now seems to take in parts of Lancashire.
To the South the border has stretched below Sheffield, and into Lincolnshire.
Hope you can make it to the meeting sometime.

Dear NYLOC,
In my youth I wanted to own a Lotus, could afford the kit, but the insurance was too high even in 1965. So I had to settle for a second hand TSR3A needing some TLC!
I still have the Lotus Seven Owners Manual (2nd Edition) # 902 issued by Lotus Components Ltd. of Delamare Road Cheshunt & would like to offer this for sale but am unaware of what price tag is attached to such a manual. Can any members advice me or indeed wish to purchase such an item. I must add the Manual is clean not even a single grease mark on it!
Best regards
John H Taylor tel. 01287 638551
PS still would like to own one of Colin Chapmans designs.

If it is still, take a photo of it. If it moves, take a photo of it.
Hi,
I have been trying to get to one of the tuesday evening meet-ups for more than 12 months (!) but never seem to make it due to work, Is there any other way that I could join and perhaps come out on any events/meet-ups at weekends? I have owned a Lotus and lived in the area for more than 6 years but never had any kind of club membership so I am keen to get involved....
thanks,
Neel

Hi Neel, welcome to the forum. My apologies for not replying sooner.
You're not the first to ask this and you'll doubtless be the last.
Asking people to come along to join may seem like an odd thing to do but it works pretty well. It means we don't get people joining just to get discounts on parts or do a cheap trackday. It also means we don't turn into just another internet forum - we're a social club, a bit of a family really. I know, I know, it looks a bit cheesy and it feels that way when I type it but that's how it is and we welcome new members all the time. I've said that and yet you've not had a reply for a few days - we don't look too keen but some of us take a while to wake up
It's just one trip to any one of our meetings and that's it - you can renew from afar, electronically even. But we do want you to come along to join which is what all of us have done at some point.
There, that's the long-winded answer - I'm not good at short replies.
So go on, tell us a bit about yourself and the car...

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply! No problem, I did check a few times after posting then forgot about it! I would certainly like to come along and I finally have a 4th tuesday evening free from work this month!
Can i just check that it will be 25th March from 6.30? I will struggle to get there from work (in Oldham) for 6.30 so what time does everyone tend to head off?
Thanks very much!
Hope to finally make it this time....
Regards,
Neel

Neel - good to hear from you! Yes indeed, 25th March at the Buckles and don't worry, you'll be fine turning up before 8 and there's usually me and a few stragglers kicking around til gone 10.
Glad to hear you can make it - I can't promise we won't make any Oldham jokes.
