Hi guys,

So today I've been busy fitting parts to the Exige, managed the rear brakes without any issues so I now have new discs and pads on the rear, I managed to drill the carbon pods do they fit the exige as a direct replacement too and I also have converted from bolts to nuts which was relativelyeasygo do...

However........

On inspection the brake lines to fit the AP 4 pots are different to what's already there. And on closer inspection I think I need to remove the clam to get at this brake line.

Can anyone advise what I need to do? How hard it will be or alternatively if there's someone with a bit of free time tomorrow? Would I be able to scrounge some help?

Happy to drive car to where ever and also happy to pay for your time but I would like to learn how to do it myself do I aren't afraid of getting stuck in.

Anyone free to assist? I can provide food and beer if necessary and anything else required...

The clam can stay on to change hoses even on a later s2 with abs from a quick look at a parts diagram (I'm an s1 man). You'll need to remove the front wheel arch liners to get access to the ends of the flexi hoses but that's about it.

Where are you located?

It's very tight, from what I can make out you can see where it bolts into just not sure what's on the other side of it and if I need to be at the other side of ?

Have you got the diagram by any chance?

It will be tight, it's a lotus! Just look on https://www.deroure.com to give you an idea. You'll need access to both sides as its where it the flex connect to the hard brake line. It's very similar to the rear connection you've done but in a more inaccessible location.

All done chaps, HUGE THANKS to the chaps who have been messaging on here, texting and calling me.

Was so nervous removing the clam. But it went back on relatively easily.

Haven't road tested yet. But need to swop rear discs over tomorrow night and sort the mesh on the pods then I'm done and ready for the meet Tuesday....

Anyone want to convoy through?

Very well done and brave to do this on your own (relatively speaking).. Look forward to seeing/feeling how it runs on this new setup at some point.

I'll be going on Tuesday if you want to set a time to meet somewhere (BP garage in Howden?) perhaps.
