Feels like a big deal does this, a massive one in fact. Owned my 111S since September 2004, picked up from the then TVR dealer in Henley and have loved every minute of ownership. OK, one or two documented low points on here (clutch replacement in France and a boatload of stonechips at Elvington) but still, what memories this car holds. I could waffle, I already have, but this isn't an easy step flogging what can only be described as a fibreglass close relative.

Reason for sale - she's just sitting in the garage as I now won't use her as a daily driver any more.

• 2 owners from new - 77,388 miles
• Ice blue 111S - car is standard apart from backbox and Nitrons
• Garaged for my 12 years of ownership
• Larini back box
• Head gasket replaced with multi-layer at 45,000 miles
• Oil replaced every year regardless, and then a hap-hazard, incomplete service book with dealer / me / Phoenix / Chris Foulds doing servicing over the years.
• Nitron Street Series setup by Ollie at Phoenix
• Heater matrix repaired and replaced by JCT
• Brand new Varta battery
• Alpine bluetooth head unit included
• Tyres, discs and pads all replaced last year (thanks to Dave @ SeriouslyLotus!) and car only done about 3,000 easy miles since then (France holiday) - tons of life in those
• Plate not included in sale - 52 plate, reg'd November 2002
• 2 keys both with Cobra alarm fobs

What you'll get here is a warts and all writeup. I don't care, or rather, I do. I'm in no rush to sell and I'd rather tell it like it is and not have someone turn up expecting a garage queen. Never been painted in my 12+ years of ownership, needs the front ears fibreglassing and the lower front repainting as it's peppered with stonechips. The window seals have lifted and there's scuff marks around the roof fixings. Needs a service, the cam belt was done at the same time as the headgasket so is due a C service.

If she doesn't sell before the spring then I'll get the front painted, a c-service done and put it back up for sale heading into summer at a fair dollop more. In other words, if you don't mind the niggles or you can sort it cheaper, now is the time to buy. Sensible offers considered but please don't come at me with something silly as I'd rather hang onto the car than let it go cheap.

Good luck with the sale PT. Late 2004 was when I got my first S1 and the next couple of years were melee of classic road runs of which that ice blue S2 led many, fond memories chap, fond memories.

Indeed S1mon (see what I did there?). Those memories will stay with me forever, proper good times. We're due a catch-up, I'll be in touch mate.

Dennis, what can I say, I had a good opportunity when the brakes were replaced last year but Dave @ Seriously is just too quick with the spanners!

Shame to see it go. Are you replacing it with something else? The front end can be sorted for a few hundred. Hope you get a decent buyer to look after it and carry on enjoying the drive.

I'm replacing it with a glorious new kitchen - I think we'll use Ice Blue granite, though :love

I've got someone in mind to paint the front and it'll go to Phoenix for a C-service if I don't get any offers. Hoping she goes abroad and I never see her again, it'll be a proper bugger watching it go.

That. :up

Sorry to hear this PT. I'm in a similar sort of position with mine - simply not using it, nor having the desire to currently. :cry (I've not even renewed NYLOC membership this year... :shock)
I'll drop you a PM when I get the chance - I miss the 'old times': NYLOC runs and F1 meet ups. Like you and 'S1mon' said - some proper memories made in 2005/6/7 when spectacular Dales runs were a regular fixture.

Mart.

Oi' Martyn you're not old enough yet to carp on about the 'good ol' days'! ;)

PT a sad day indeed but like most of our Lotus cars - they just don't get used nearly enough these days :(

If/when she goes remember the fond memories :D

Group hug? Those runs out were epic - it wasn't my doing, it was just the perfect storm of ownership and club status. Oh and a shitty early sat nav ;)

PM / call me guys, I'm alive and good to see you Mr E / Martyn.
