Big favour?!

Hi all,

I have a big favor to ask.

My Elise is currently a bit sick and stuck with a local (York) mechanic who is trying to fix it.
We believe the fault lies in the ECU and as a way of testing could do with another Elise to plug the ECU in to see if it's at fault.
This is the only way we can rule out any issues with it other than sending it off somewhere and paying a substantial sum before they even look at it.
As mentioned, the car is currently at a garage on the outskirts of York, is there anyone available next Wednesday who would be prepared to let us try out our plan?
I would obviously reimburse any fuel costs (assuming your not travelling from Scotland - no offence) to cover the journey.
Pleading to any local S1 owners willing to help out a fellow owner.

The MEMS ecus had a couple of common faults on Rovers when I worked on thembacki in the 90`s One was draining the batery with a 1 amp drain, the ecu never powered down after the said 10 mins, the other was the earth side of the fuel pump relay(MFU) did not get its command from the ECU, If that helps..
