Being towed away to F1 due to a fcukd up gear box!

Dude, thats no good. I thought the problem went away after the Cobweb run on PH. I got your txt, but then saw it was working again.

Hope they get it sorted for you sharpish.

Yeah it comes and goes... i got to the gym fine with it yesterday but then it messed up again on the way back home! They could not find anything wrong with it today so are having another go tomorrow so will hopefully get the car back soonish! Getting it serviced whilst its there too.

At least you know F1 will do a better job than JCT. Is it still under warrenty?

Yeah still under warrenty. The guy from Lotus sorted the pick up truck etc out and as F1 is closest, thats where it went.
But the Lotus guy said they will do a real good job of it up there as did the tow truck guy! Just hope i get it back tomorrow (cant really see that happening) or the day after!

Bob did you get an Exige S in the end? If so whats happened to the gearbox? You been having ongoing problems with it?

Nope just regular exige. The problem only started on Sunday, have'nt heard from F1 today so im hoping they found the problem. I will give them a call tomorrow to hopefully pick it up! Im missing out on these dry sunny days!

Just an update on my car... F1 just phoned and said that (thankfully) they are now having the same problems that i had with it, sometimes it goes into gear no problem, then you try again and it wont go into any gear, he then went on to say that they heard a ping, so basically it means having to take the transmition out so he said i should look to get the car back early next week!

Fair enough i guess as it wasnt booked in, they just got a phone call from Lotus saying that my car would be arriving soon on a pick up!
It will feel like i brand new car when i finally get back in it, never been away from driving it this long!
