I'm on the lookout for all good Elise/Exiges

I am a trade buyer as most of you will know (Jon Seal Sportscars aka lotushardtops.com) but respectable prices always offered especially for clean low mileage cars. We do offer SOR for more expensive cars but will always have a straight buy offer on any good S1/S2 car.

There's not many for sale compared with even a handful of years back. It's 17k starter for R / 111R and this one looks like a tidy one-owner with ok mileage. I don't think that asking price is too wide of the mark tbh.

And getting what? That's the thing unless you're after another Lotus or shifting brand to something a bit more comfy. If it's another Lotus - get your wallet out - the SC cars start at £25k.

Every time I consider selling mine I wonder what I'd get next. Then I stop thinking about it and the world is back to normal again.

Probably for me it'd be store money till I get a garage built then look to purchase another.

for my 111R (also 2005) I wouldn't expect more then £15-16k for and that's at 52k miles. But the market as some traders have said is so up and down right now.

You're right though.. Decisions on what to get sometimes make you think 'what i've got is actually fine'.

Wish I'd never sold the Elise, my wife told me to keep it when I bought the Evora. She was right. I wasn't quick enough for a yellow S1 111S a few weeks back

You're spot on there, Martin. Not many cars of similar value / style would put a smile on your face each time you drive them and increase in value each year. If I thought I owned my car due to value or decreased loss of value, I'd sell it cos it's the wrong reasons to own a Lotus.

You'll find one, some crackers still keep turning up with low miles / few owners. There's a chuffin' S2 Sport 190 on at the moment, mmmmm sport190

There was a lovely black s2 sport 190 recently on pistonheads for 22k. had 7k miles on and sold within a couple of days.

@softlips I know I do love my car. But just annoying having to wash it and cover it up everytime i've been out for a nice run. I really should have got the garage done and then bought one. But I wasn't sure i'd find many nice looking 111R's available so when mine came up I took the chance.

Car is on a drive not tucked far from a small country lane which passes our house. Unfortunately we get a lot of farm machines hurtling back and forth all day with tyres 6-8ft high kicking grit/dirt up as they pass. Cars been hit several times by stones when outside washing car.

Know where you could find a well sorted S1 (Championship winning car you know )
Mechanically 100% bodywork needs a little attention (Car not the owner )

Yes that's the one. I'm reluctantly selling because we are moving to Portugal. I really want to keep her but worried about re - registering, right hand drive etc..

Yes it's not bad to look at really (actually pretty good for a fiberglass car of that age)
Just that having done the rest the final touch would be to have the chips/micro blisters sorted.....
